What is Reiki?

Reiki itself is a gentle healing energy force of high vibration and intelligence that is available to each and every one of us for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing and well-being. Reiki comes to us from a universal source where there is no shortage of supply and is channelled from this source to the receiver through an attuned Reiki practitioner. This is done through a series of gentle hand placements held on or slightly above the recipient's body for a period of as little as one minute to sometimes 10 minutes depending on what the practitioner senses is needed. An entire ttreatment takes anywhere from 40 minutes to 90 minutes. Each Reiki treatment is individual as to the length of the treatment and what one experiences each time. Most commonly the receiver feels deeply relaxed and also notices a strong radiating sensation of heat from the practitioner's hands.

Who Can Receive Reiki Treatments?

Reiki is a gentle and intelligent energy that tailors itself to the person receiving the treatment. There is no danger of Reiki being too strong or not strong enough to do its healing work. The amount of Reiki that is delivered automatically adjusts to exactly what the recipient needs. It is safe for farm animals and pets, infants and children, women who are trying to conceive, pregnant, in labor or post-partum, and adults of all ages. It is safe to use with any type of condition or dis-ease and can often increases the effectiveness of other treatments and medications while their lessening uncomfortable side effects. Reiki is also wonderful for general relaxation and maintaining health and a low level of stress in those who have no outstanding concerns.

Who does the healing - the Reiki or the Practitioner? What affects the outcome?

The healing is done by you! Reiki enhances your body's ability to heal itself based upon the strength of your desire to be well. This is the only pre-requisite and what affects the outcome of your treatment - you must want to get better, you must want to heal. It doesn't matter who your practitoner is along as he/she is attuned to Reiki, it doesn't matter if you receive the treatment in a hospital, clinic, spa setting or office or in your practitioner's home or your own. It doesn't even matter if you believe in Reiki itself - Reiki is not faith-based. What matters is that truly in your heart you want to be well. If this is so, Reiki can bring miracle healing into your life. It's all about you being open to receiving it.

Treatments For Children Who Are Victims of Natural Disaster, Trauma, or Abuse
The Om Reiki Center for Peace and Healing offers complimentary Reiki treatments to children who are victims of natural disaster, trauma or abuse. If you know of a child who has suffered in this way, please call 920-203-6895 or email nicole@omreiki.com to make an appointment.
Reiki House Cleaning/Clearing $50 and up depending upon square footage
Reiki is not just for treating people and animals! Reiki is also a very successful way to brighten and uplift homes and other spaces. Reiki practitioners are attuned to special symbols that can be used to clear out old and stagnant energy and replace it with the higher vibrations of light, love, harmony, prosperity, and peace. Reiki clearings are especially helpful when you are selling your home, moving into a new home, or after a major life change such as loss of a loved one or divorce.
Infant Reiki Blessing $25
An Infant Reiki Blessing, in which the Reiki symbol for healing past karma is used, is a wonderful gift for that new special person in your life! It is a blessing of welcoming and of joy, of love, of health, of light, of prosperity and wisdom. It is also a very loving and unique idea for a baby shower gift - gift certificates are available, just call or email. Infant Reiki Blessings are done in the hospital or in your home where the baby's room can be Reiki"ed" as well at no additional cost.
About Reiki Master Teacher Nicole C. Good-Hagey
Reiki Master Teacher Nicole Good-Hagey received her Reiki training from Arline Rowden of Reiki Wisconsin, located in Edgerton WI (www.reikiwisconsin.com) and has been practicing Reiki for over three years. An experienced presenter on the topic of Reiki, she is willing to speak to groups about the subject at no charge. Nicole is also trained in Jin Shin Do Acupressure, Tui Na, and Lomi Lomi and is a graduate of Orin and Daben's Awakening Your Light Body course (www.orindaben.com). Nicole practices in Oshkosh and surrounding communities. She enjoys spending time with her 3 young children, supporting local art and music and charitible events, and pursuing interests including meditation, chinese medicine, yoga and kirtan, cooking, hiking, ayurveda, and holistic psychology.
